Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an translator.
The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist driving a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
