Devoted fans of the pop star are urging that a man who breached a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was due to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features videos of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further comment on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two very different witches.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, winning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
