The Renowned Musician Calls On Public Help to Send Together for Palestine Track to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A fundraising initiative is aiming to send a Palestinian lullaby to the peak of the festive singles chart. The project aims to provide aid to communities in Gaza while also spotlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

An Opportunity for Unity and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a chance to show solidarity with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be incredible if that occurred, yes,” he stated. “I wouldn't be completely disheartened if it doesn't manage to, holiday tracks are a unique phenomenon.”

Resilient Spirit of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the version of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“It occupies a very special place for countless listeners,” Barghouti said. “The message is that I would prefer a dignified death than live a life without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we seek to lead a life of dignity that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Production History and Contributing Musicians

The track was produced after a solidarity show held in the autumn. Initially planned to be captured during the live event, the piece was shelved during the concert due to the event running long.

The impressive roster of musicians featured on Lullaby encompasses a selection of acclaimed names from the music world. All participated in the September show, which successfully generated a substantial amount for charitable causes.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was brought to life by a trio of talented individuals. The track features a combination of the traditional Arabic lyrics with contemporary English verses.

The organizers behind the project have emphasized that their objective is to generate maximum funds for a specific fund. These donations will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We don’t have a fixed goal,” a figure said. “We’ll go for the maximum achievable. Naturally, the greater the amount, the better. All proceeds are directed out to Gaza.”

The context in the area was characterized as its widespread damage, with a vast majority of property said to be in ruins or severely impacted.

“In that context, a few million won't make a massive dent. But I think what truly matters is above all making this cause better known and demonstrating the human dimension of the story.”

The song is launching on Friday. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made accessible to view on a digital service from mid-December.
